Galaxy Note 3...

When I connect it to my desktop and select to use USB 3.0 to transfer files, why then, if it is not used for 5 minutes, the connection will automatically switch to use USB 2.0? What is the reason it has to do this?

apparently usb 3.0 interferes with wireless signals

so phone auto switches off 3.0 after 5-min inactive period

Surprisingly, there seem to be a few downsides to having USB 3.0 on the Galaxy Note 3. You see, there's a reason why USB 3.0 is not enabled by default on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – "it may sometimes interfere with calls or data when it is in use", as a notification message informed us when we tried to turn the mode on. This, hopefully, will not be an issue observed on future USB 3.0-enabled handsets.

wow so it's the Note 3 only? I just realized it does put the phone in airplane mode when 3.0 is enabled.
