Just got back from TOOL playing in Indianapolis. It is truly a religious experience to see them live. CorporateRecreation should have seen them too but he isn't back yet

Meshuggah opened (they were awesome) and TOOL did their thing. Not only did we get Cold & Ugly and H., but we got the whole Salival edition of Third Eye and a drum solo (I think it was Merkaba) with all of Meshuggah helping out!! I'm in heaven! I'd see them every tour date if I could.

The only thing that wasn't so great was the new tour shirts. A bit too plain for me. Luckily I had planned on getting a Meshuggah shirt anyways and couldn't justify paying $70 for 2 shirts. God this concert ruled. Go see them. NOW!

I went too, haha too bad you didn't call me like you were supposed to BRIAN... anyway we see enough of each other :p

At any rate I was so glad we got cold and ugly and third eye. I wanted H so bad too, but I've heard them all before seeing as I've seen them 4 times now. tool is just god.

Well, I was really going to call you Drew but you see, when the show was over, Maynard pulled me aside and he and Adam and I all went to the back and we jammed for a bit. Adam let my play his Gibson, it's choice :) Then we all had a few laughs and I got their autographs and numbers and he promised we'd hang out when he came back to the Indy or Chicago area.

Maybe if you're lucky I'll let you meet him some time :D

He was enjoying it up until where Maynard said "Think for yourself" but then his cell phone rang and it was his girlfriend so he had to slip out. He came back for the last min of Lateralus and was like 'What'd I miss?' and I pimp-slapped him.

Honestly, we both loved it. He's been on the phone since we got home though so we haven't had an extreme discussion yet, and he has an 8 30 class to boot. Is there ever really anything to discuss when talking about the 0wnage of TOOL though? ;)

i love it when he finishes the call/response "think for yourself" thing with, "and never repeat what anyone tells you."
