As far as i have understood you can not overclock the duron via bios.
I am running a Duron 750. I dont know week or if it is unlocked. My bios is 1004c. I tried just for fun to adjust fsb in the bios and woila i had a 803 (107*7,5) mhz Duron. Sisof Sandra reported increase i all the tests. But mem. benchmark reported Alu 432 and Fpu 535, which is higer than a giga PIII and Athlon. I dont know if sisoft is correct or not. 3dmark 2000 6408 with geforce2gts (635) oc at 217+358.
mem running at 142, dont know which brand.

I forgot to mention that my mb is Asus a7v with switches i have not checked position on switches.

It works because when you increase the FSB, the clock speed that the duron is at is at a certain multiplier as compared to the FSB. By raising the FSB, you also increase the frequency at which the Duron is running. There's another way to OC, which is to incrase the multiplier of the Duron, which also raises the Durons frequency.

you can in fact increase the FSB for the AMD chips but the problem seems to be when attempting to increase to 100MHZ and above. The reported problem is with the VIA chipset and not the Athlon/Duron CPU. At 107 MHZ you're below the 110MHZ speed that is reportedly the cut-off for most motherboards. (A few have successfully gotten the VIA chipsets to run w/112MHZ - very few)

Ok i think i get it now. What did not work in bios 1005X was the multiplier. Fsb oc in bios has always been there, right?

Another thing i not quite understand.
When i check the detailed test result in 3dmark2000 i see that my
CPU Speed is just 403 CPU 3D marks, mutch lower than other prosessors at the same speed.
Can anyone help me with this.
