Why does this anger americans

So the system that the US is built on turns against it and now its not fair. I am talking about making more profit by taking buissnes to other countries which are willing to work at a fraction of the cost. aren't these the american values we have been taugt growing up. To take advantage of everything within the limits of our legal system to get more profit/Income, but when the system starts working for some other people that are barley surviving we get pissed off Why? Aren't we supposed to be the fair country in the world?

But...only if our standard of living continues to rise (i.e. Wages rise, jobs not outsourced, etd.). I'm not willing to sacrifice my job for it and I doubt you'll find anyone willingly sacrifice their job for or standard of living for it either. You may find people who will drop their wages just to keep their job here, but that's about the extent you'll find it. IMO>

I don't get pissed off...it's usually the liberals getting pissed off when they see someone being successful and themselves stagnant. They tend to blame the system, rather than themselves. Republicans are the opposite.

That's the biggest pile of BS that you've spewed on this forum.

Who are the ones that want higher taxes on wealthier people? Who are the ones bitching about corporate profit?

Like most "Republicans", I don't want more tax on anyone, but I damn sure don't want a tax hike on myself or anyone "paying" taxes just to lower the upper class tax burden. If the government wants to cut spending to lower taxes, fine. If tax revenues catch up in the next few years and the government wants to cut taxes, then fine. Not at my expense!

Who's bitching? Anyone laid off at the expense of cheap offshore labor in the name of corporate profits....republican or democrat. While I agree that unions/labor originizations have hurt the US onshore system, I also understand that we are all just a number to the corporations....a number that they need in the form of a consumer, but a number that they would just as soon get rid of for the sake of profit. If you're lucky, you won't be outsourced from your job by cheap offshore labor. If that day ever comes, don't you dare bitch one bit from your "pefect Republican values". :|

Goddamn stereotyping...you should be ashamed of your sig!

I work my @ss off trying to keep as many jobs in this country and to make it as competitive as I can. We all should be doing the same instead of thowing the jobs to the cheap labor camps all for the sake of profit. Who benefits most from profit? They invest this profit where? In the US? New offshore facilities? *sigh*

Do you actually contribute anything...ever?

Also, you DO realize that the anger about outsourcing is not a left/right issue, at least not on the individual level, right? It seems pretty universal among people in threatened industries, or at least non-partisan.

I also think I would be remiss if I didn't point out that you blame other people and whine and complain more than the worst liberal stereotype. For a tough, self-made, successful Republican...you sure do come off sounding pretty whiney.

Everyone got tax breaks under Bush's tax cuts, and you know that. Outsourcing, while not a great thing, is part of life. Look at companies like GM and Ford that haven't outsourced, where has that gotten them? Billions of dollars in debt, and laying people off left and right. Either companies outsource jobs, or they lay people off later. It's inevitable, it's a changing economy. We are moving away from manufactoring, companies can no longer afford to do it here with the high wages, and unfair trade from China and other countries. Better to let companies manufactor offshore and survive than to let them go out of business.

I didn't bring up taxing anybody. You threw in your partisan trash about taxing the rich and I responded. I didn't say anything about it except that I wouldn't be willing to take a tax hike to give the upper class a break...PERIOD

How about we all work together to make them more efficient and take a "few" concessions to keep them here? Who is going the buy the stuff once nobody can afford it (hypothetical)? When outflow >>>>>> inflow of money (Trade deficit), something will eventually give. I'm for the US worker as far as keeping the job here. If that means concessions and automation/etc. to keep the job here, then go after it. I'm not giving in to the easy "cheap labor" way out!

It's all about the money. Caring about humanity is down the list.
Capitalism is the least worst system in the world. Yes, it can be and is abused.

Capitalism is the shadow religion of America.

So disgusting not even worth replying to but I will reply to the general comment and not the poster himself.

Everyone knows the "Tax cuts" only benefitted the most wealthy. :cookie: for the poster again.

GM & Fords' issues are a lot more complex would be led to believe my the poster here. Further erosion of America such as the out of control No Health Care costs are a large part of the Auto Industry woes than outsourcing. :cookie: for the poster again.

The poster should be outsourced and see how he likes it. :cookie: for the poster again.

"Aren't we supposed to be the fair country in the world?"

We are only fair if there is no political motivation involved. Otherwise, it's all about winning. That means there has to be a loser.
If by accident it's a win-win, that's only a happy accident or a rare event.

I'm actually kind of surprised to see someone say this besides me. Way to go db! :cookie:

There's a lot of latitude in Capitalism. When someone gets extremely wealthy by exploiting the very poor, it's sad and pathetic. When someone basically steals from thousands or millions of people, but there's no law against it, that person is admired or even a hero.
People shrug their shoulders, and move on.
Still, it's the least worst system.

Are you saying middle class Americans didn't benefit from the tax cuts? Do I really have to go through and show you the child tax credit, marriage credit, etc...or do they not count? Income tax percentage for them was lowered too...

GM + Ford's woes have to do with retirement packages, as well as the unions. Workers in third world countries don't get retirement packages and health care and such, so yes, them NOT outsourcing has put them heavily in debt and put them in a bad position for the future.

Considering I don't work for a corporation, I don't think I'll be "outsourced."

:cookie: for you, would you like some whine and cheese with that too? 😉

Yeah, most of you just pray to Jesus, drink some McCormick, slap your wife/sister around and pretend everything's gonna work out. Since you aren't a RRR, you probably just do the last three...

I'm a middle class American, married with a kid, and I got enough back from the Bush tax cuts to buy a soda. I don't make a ton of money, but I'm firmly in the middle class. Thanks Georgie. The Pepsi company appreciates your assistance.

So you're saying GM and Ford should just dump all their American workers and shift operations to China so they can remain profitable? That's gonna be really good for America. The only positive could be that it'll push us a little further away from dog-eat-dog capitalism and closer to a moderate socialism.
