It's because that's how the salesmen work when they're at a show, be it a home & garden, trade or auto show. I've seen them all over the place and it's always the same setup with the same headset since they need both hands to demonstrate the product.

I like my answer. Because he's a douche.

At least the OxiClean guy just does a lot of cocaine, so he's got the energy to yell for two minutes straight.

I have something similar, not made in Germany, though ;)

It soaks up a lot of water. They sell them in the automotive section of Walmart.

[shamwow guy] You know the Germans always make good stuff [/shamwow guy]

A headset? What he really needs is euthanization, for his sake and ours of course.

Man this reminds me of a time when me/wife made an impulse buy of some kitchen cookware at a Balloon Festival. Not sure what we were thinking when we put down close to 2 grand, but thank god for the 3 day cancellation policy. (When they told me I didnt fax it to them in time I let AmEx handle the rest and had my credit within days)

Phew that was a close one!!

Synthetic chamois are nothing new, also its the same type of demos they have done for YEARS on infomercials etc. Dont bother wasting money on these things, microfiber towels are FTW.

I like the commercial because it seems like they are saying, "don't buy it, see if we give a fuck." Like when he rolls his shoulders and says, "I don't know, it sells itself."

I got something very similar at one of the home & garden shows several years back. They work ok, but they leave lint on everything. They're in the bottom of my rag box nowadays, replaced by some good quality microfiber towels. (yes, the guy selling them at the show looked about like the guy in the commercial.)

Next time you see the commercial pay attention to the part on the soda when he says they are doing it in real time and watch how much soda is already gone from editing, then he soaks up the rest.
