Why does the American election seem like Survivor?

Hehehe seriously.

I have this vision of the host of Survivor taking ballots out of the ballot box and saying "Gore"...then "Bush" then "Gore...then "Bush" about 45 million times before there is one more ballot left and he reads out the winner's name. And we'll tune in every week after the recount, only to find out that the person we thought lost from the outset, ends up winning.
