Why does storage.ibm.com look like this on my screen?

Why does storage.ibm.com look like this on my screen? Every other website looks normal except this one. What might the problem be?

I am running PII 400 with a 17 inch monitor at 1024X768@85Hz on 4MB of onboard ATI Rage Pro video. Just curious to find out what is causing it.

/edit: IE 6.0 but was having the same problem with IE 5.5. I can't imagine it being a font problem since I upgraded my OS to XP very recently.

I think you would be safe putting this thread in a more technically oriented forum. Try video/software/technical support

On a side note, I have no idea why it's doing that.

But there's hardly any traffic there. 🙁

Mine does the same. (I assume you mean its small size in the upper lhs)
I am running 1024 x 768 as my video setting. What is yours??

(spelling)😱

Looks like a font problem. Perhaps you have a corrupt or missing font? It might also be video card related. My wifes system w/ 3dfx card looks different than mine with Nvidia.

I visited the same website http://www.storage.ibm.com/ and everything looks fine on my system, all the text and fonts are sharp and clear.

I had the same problem before, but it was on a work computer.

I think it has to do with their CSS code, but I'm not sure. Couldn't duplicate the problem since then.

3 instances of this problem. Quiet strange that IBM hasn't caught it yet. hmmmm. I was looking for some specs on a HDD but I can hardly read the text. Oh well, I am pretty sure I can find it elsewhere. Thanks, doods.

I have the same screen res but the font isn't that small. have you adjusted the font size in IE? The windows updates page often have additional fonts, maybe theres a download that could be had because it looks like the font isn't installed.

Copy and paste to Word. 🙂

Check your font settings in IE also.

System and IE font size is set to 12. View source on the page indicates that they are using Arial and Verdana. Pretty common. I also cleared my cache.

I just checked the storage.ibm.com site and I have the same problem with unreadable fonts on that page. Nvidia Video Card, Win98SE, and IE6 (Text Size Medium). Changing Text Size to Large allows me to read it, but, Medium has worked fine on all other pages.

Western European also. Change text size to the largest setting helps a bit. Vagrant is running a decent vid. card (Leadtek gts pro 64meg) and has a similar problem. 😱

i'm getting nice crispy fonts on my Dell P991 running a GF256 @ 1400x1050x85Hzx32bpp with Mozilla .9.3.

Awesome monitor isn't it?

I think I found the problem. Does this happen to everyone, btw?

<< <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="//www.ibm.com/data/css/v11/r1.css"/> >>

// should be http://

I believe that the CSS code contains the necessary data for proper display. Looks like a glitch in their code.

I duplicated your problem with IE6 beta on WinXP RC1. (I'm waiting for MSDN Release on Sept 21)

Yes. I see it. I'll email IBM and let them know.
