Why does some sausage taste like pine?

Ummmm...pine tar is semi-toxic and pine wood is not used in smoking foods. Also, breakfast sausage is not smoked (which is what I think he was refering to).

Hehe, baffled, I speaking of nuts italiano, was it Bert Renolds who's the half Indian and half Italian and replied to the question 'which half is Italian' with "the half covered with hair."?
