Why does society hate you?

Society as a whole doesn't hate me. I'm not a member of any weird sub-culture people hate.

Some people hate me because I'm endlessly self-confident, lack any desire to live in a fantasy world, have a relatively low tolerance for stupidity and show no empathy towards people I don't really care about.
 
I'm a white male, holding down women and minorities everywhere....from the confines of my cubicle at my low paying job. 😕

because:

i'm atheist
i'm extremely leftist
i don't believe in the tenents of land ownership/rent, wage slavery, capitalism, etc.
i see nothing wrong with picking my nose
"i'm shy"
"i'm too nice"
and i have piercings and crazy hair (although the hair has been tamed for the time being)

I've always wondered why a communist such as yourself would choose to live in the most free, capitalist nation on earth?

Mind you, I'm not giving the "love it or leave it" line. But someone like you staying here is like a vegetarian choosing to eat out at steak house.

actually i am vegetarian as well if you wanna add that to the list.

also the the whole "love it or leave it" line is an oversimplified way of saying that you don't want others to change the way things are now and that you enjoy a stale, stagnant governmental process.

in my mind there's ALWAYS improvements to be made to ANY system. and that's why i'm still here. i'd probably feel more comfortable with a government such as france... or canada even. but i seriously love the land here. i love the woods and fields i've grown up and continue to live around.

and things like that i will NEVER give up on... because to leave is to give up. it's selfish, and it accomplishes nothing.
