Interesting...I have been having a problem recently. I can reconcile a specific acct. every month. Then after several months I will run a validation....then that acct. will show a discrepancy from like back in March. Delete all the reconciles back to March, rereconcile monthly again, run validate...same damn error. :| The smart reconcile feature they have sucks!:|

Same thing happened to me... was using it for a couple of years with no problems, then all of a sudden a discrepancy shows up. Funny thing is, it's the exact amount of a transaction about a year and a half ago. Now it's totally fscked up... Every version of Quicken I've ever used has had the same problem... apparently they can't write code worth sh!t.

I'd use M$ Money, if I could only get it to quit asking me if I want to schedule EVERY FSCKING THING as a scheduled transaction!:|

What difference will that make in downloading statements?
I thought the whole point of online accounts and financial management programmes was that the two would mesh together and make sorting out your finances so easy.... now I find that the only bank I use that *claimed* it was compatible with Quicken (it never did work properly) has given up pretending. :|

Thanks for the MS Money tip.

I have an elderly computer client who has been insisting on using a warezed copy of Managing Your Money on her new system I installed. She would buy the program but due to the fact that it came out ten years ago and stopped being supported 8 years ago and is no longer sold ANYWHERE leaves me in a bind. We bought and installed Quicken for her to manage her estate info but she hates it. I am gonna try this MS Money program and maybe I can finally get the MYM monkey off my back. :D

I gave up on trying to use quicken online. I just enter everything and manually reconcile with my statements. Works well for me that way and I still get the budgeting/reporting features which is what I wanted it for anyway.

Same thing here. Running MS Money Standard (came with lappy) with my HSBC checking. No complaints at all.
