Everybody raves about this POS program. Well I install it and try to link my two bank accounts and four credit cards to it and NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM works. Sure, I can download the .qifs but I want it automatically updated into my system, dammit.........

in case anybody is interested or has experiece with the following POS financial institutions:

POS banks
chevy chase bank
commerce bank (of ny,nj and pa)

POS credit cards
MBNA
Bank of America
GM Card
Amazon.com Card

AAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!! the one bank that DOES work requires me to print out and fill out (with a pen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111) a two page document and mail it in and then wait for a fscking pin. what is this, the stone age?!?! i wants my quicken NOW, dammit!

Interesting...I have been having a problem recently. I can reconcile a specific acct. every month. Then after several months I will run a validation....then that acct. will show a discrepancy from like back in March. Delete all the reconciles back to March, rereconcile monthly again, run validate...same damn error. :| The smart reconcile feature they have sucks!:|

Same thing happened to me... was using it for a couple of years with no problems, then all of a sudden a discrepancy shows up. Funny thing is, it's the exact amount of a transaction about a year and a half ago. Now it's totally fscked up... Every version of Quicken I've ever used has had the same problem... apparently they can't write code worth sh!t.

I'd use M$ Money, if I could only get it to quit asking me if I want to schedule EVERY FSCKING THING as a scheduled transaction!:|

What difference will that make in downloading statements?
I thought the whole point of online accounts and financial management programmes was that the two would mesh together and make sorting out your finances so easy.... now I find that the only bank I use that *claimed* it was compatible with Quicken (it never did work properly) has given up pretending. :|

MS money here!!

Auto download HSBC Checking/Savings
but my citi CC doesnt have to manually go to website and download :-(

Thanks for the MS Money tip.

I have an elderly computer client who has been insisting on using a warezed copy of Managing Your Money on her new system I installed. She would buy the program but due to the fact that it came out ten years ago and stopped being supported 8 years ago and is no longer sold ANYWHERE leaves me in a bind. We bought and installed Quicken for her to manage her estate info but she hates it. I am gonna try this MS Money program and maybe I can finally get the MYM monkey off my back. 😀

I gave up on trying to use quicken online. I just enter everything and manually reconcile with my statements. Works well for me that way and I still get the budgeting/reporting features which is what I wanted it for anyway.

odd. we have been using qucken for years. never had ap roblem. its greatr for the 4 accounts we have.

granted we have never used online stuff but thats because my bank (small local one) is not on the list.

Same thing here. Running MS Money Standard (came with lappy) with my HSBC checking. No complaints at all.
