Yeah, the big limitation is that you'll never get any better than 1280x720 with 2xAA. 1080i looks even worse.

everyone talkin john carmack talk is only lookin at one piece of a sentace,....if you seen the quakecon 2005 speech of his he said plain as day,.."dont believe the console hype,..because in fact thats all it is,.." and on the microsoft xbox page the key words not being looked at are .."for a console" and he didnt even work on quake4 for pc or xbox360,...anyone who wants to keep comparing consoles with pc's are gonna be dissapointed on both sides,...pc's,..well it soley depends on your setup,..and well,..how the user has it setup for overall quality,..and also,...when have you ever heard" yeah soul calibur 3 for pc was awesome!!!",..youll never hear anything like that because thats not a pc's place...and for the most part texture mass and distance draw will always be limited on consoles,..hence there will be pc games on consoles that need to be as some of us pc user's would refer to as "dummied down",..now sure theres always console tricks,,..and now one is going to be bloom,...bloom will be used to hide shortcummings just like fog does,..and when the "wow!" effect wears off in a few months it surely will be more noticeable,...and i say,..so what,...its not how cod2 look's compared to pc,...its how it look's period,...personally i think of consoles as toys,..you just plug it in ,turn it on and pick up your controller and play it how it sits,..........made so anyone can be a "hardcore gamer"...but thats just how i see em imo,..doesnt mean i dont play god of war on the sony wega HD widescreen in 480p and dont enjoy it because i do,..its fantastic,...and not ment to be compared to anything on pc even if its the same type game(like prince of persia),...theres sony, microsoft and nintendo that battle things out,...a pc is not in that category other than the word "gaming" otherwise hey,.. mine as well compare textures in cell phone games and psp's

"While many early Xbox 360 games are simple high-resolution versions of their current gen brethren, COD 2 was created in tandem with the PC version. This means that both versions demonstrate a hefty amount of special effects, visual polish and no visual compromise. The game looks especially crisp in 1080 and 720, and the level of detail and crispness is undeniably different when compared to the same game in 480p. In the higher resolutions, the texture work is often excellent, and in any mode it's complemented by both fluid moving characters and great animation. You run into a blown-up building and the crumbling walls show granular detail. Your feet kick up dust. Scrapes, scratches, and holes aren't repeated from building to building. And the fidelity of each object, whether it is a broken desk, a destroyed tank, or a torn apart building, is crisp and sharp looking. The Xbox 360 version is comparable to a high-end PC system running the game, and in some little cases -- like a lit landscape or a full-blown fighting sequence -- the Xbox 360 version looks superior. Call of Duty 2 is easily one of the best looking Xbox 360 games for launch."

Basicly any review you read will say the same so again people that claim 360's version looks worse than PCs are simply incorrect or havent played the game any higher than 480P.

I must say that I was not impressed at all by COD2. Looked pretty low res, and the jaggies! What a mess.

Target. :p

probably not set up correctly
