?

I've been on Obama's case since he first started running for the nomination. I know exactly what he is, how he thinks and the destruction he wishes to cause to our country.

-edit-
Oh, I get it. You were having a bu-bu-bu-but bush moment.

not to defend Bush, but he had something like 10 czars... after 8 years, compared to 34 after 6 months.

I'm not a big fan of all the czars.

I thought one of their big selling points was that they could work across the different departments, whereas the secretary of defense can only get stuff done with the defense department or sec of state only in the state department.

cashola kaching...citizen trough coffers...you bet baby...milk em and milk em good. most of you pointy headed momos will stipulate, that this is acceptable, just like the other gouging and robbery going on. when you are penniless and living in a tent and eating gruel, ask yourself..how'd this happen?

simple answer...you let it happen.

Every president has had czars obama just wants more. I think they are more like advisers im not sure how much power they really have. I know if i was president I would want as much information as possible before making a big decision. Although all of these people haven't helped him make any good decisions yet.....

I wonder how many of his czar's are Ferengi? With names like Stern, Sunstein, Feinberg, I wonder who is actually in control here.

What's the big deal about it, people are appointed to positions in the government all the time?

if people 5 levels under cabinet positions have to go through congress, shouldn't people who are arguably just as powerful as cabinet members?

ok maybe I am confused but isn't the job of a czar to oversee policy that is set by the president not make policy themselves? If so doesn't this streamline what obama is trying to do? Doesn't this allow him to focus on new things knowing a single person is responsible for whatever policy he set up?

No rationality allowed.

If by streamline you mean kill the country with no accountability then, yeah...you have a point. We do NOT live in a dictatorship and thankfully most of the country is waking up to this shit.

Would you prefer they were called Special Assistant Under-Secretary for the Oversight of Whatever? Tsar (my preferred transliteration) is just a convenient shorthand.

Whether or not that is supposed to be their job is one thing, but what I've heard of the Car Czar is he sets policy for the automakers (not Obama).

Sometimes how things are supposed to work, and how they actually work are two completely different things.

Maybe all the other Czars are carrying out policy made by Obama? IDK, it's just the Car Czar that I heard described as making policy. For all I know, that may have been an incorrect characterization by the MSM. But since there's apparently no oversight for most of them I suppose no one can find out. That seems to be one of Sen. Bryd's complaints.

It's ok, pay no mind to the man behind the curtain. Aw crap, never mind, we don't need the curtain anymore. Bigger government with more power and less accountability. Is this the hope and change you were looking for? Judging by the reactions in here, I would say yes. Obama does it = yay!
