Why does networking ALWAYS have to be a PITA?

This isn't a networking question per say... Just a general complaint...

Now I feel that i'm fairly well versed with computers, but for some reason networking NEVER seems to work properly for me. I can get a wireless/wired network set-up, no problems. But for some reason, problems always creep up if i add something, or change something. Requiring me to start over again. Hell, half the time it just starts acting up on its own.

Am i the only one here?

That's the way it is. Deal with it.

<sigh>

I can reconfigure Cisco routers right and left, set up WANs using commercial hardware without thinking twice, configure forests of servers (NetWare or Windows) without a problem... and everything works beautifully.

But I have more problems with a friend's home network I set up, than all of the other networking issues I've dealt with in my life. Damn Linksys & Windows 98.
