Why does my vacuum blow dust into the air?

on the back of your vacuum, in the middle of where you wind your cord is a round "mechanism" right behind where the switch is, it has two clip like things on it, and a small white arrow, turn this, and it will cut off the air flow from the bottom of the vacuum, so that the dust does not blow out, when using the hose.:D:thumbsup:;)

Another Necro I guess. It must be that time of the nite for the first post necro thing.

Still have a built in piped internal vacuum system from around 1969 built into the house I finally convinced the wife to use after all her gadgets she had used over the years.

Functions a lot better as far as suction goes than the other things she had used, and is a lot quieter.

I finally got her to use the thing after a decade, she even agrees it is better.

I found a hole that on the bottom that directly connects to the hole blowing out dust. There is no filter in between.

I think this is just a really bad design.

That hole sucks up dirt when you're vacuuming like normal.

I'm starting to think you might not be qualified to own a vacuum.
