Is it an ache that goes away after eating (or lessens at least), but then quickly comes back? Sounds like an ulcer or cancer.

hyper acidity?

I'd ask if your BMs are okay but I don't want to no details. Try taking tums or some antacid and see if it helps? Talk to a doctor.

Not true, I have acid reflux and it doesn't hurt extremely bad except on rare occasions. Usually it was dull ache or pain that would be there a lot. Go see a doctor, they'll make you drink some backing soda mixture (yummy), and then give you some drugs. It works.

When the doctor told me I had GastroIntestinal Reflux Disease I thought I was dying (sounds scary to me!), then my wife (a pharmasist) told me it was just acid reflux :)

OK, way to freak a guy out...while this is a possibility, more than likely it's Acid Reflux. I had the same exact symptoms he's describing, it was always worse in the morning and cleared up after walking around for a while.

Mine started when I was 19 so no worries man. I'm 26 now and don't notice it much unless I eat spicey food. Just go see a doctor and explain the symptons.

Well, i always though Acid Reflux happens more in the chest/esophogus area, not in the stomach. A dull aching pain, that goes away AFTER eating (Acid Reflux the pain gets worst after eating doesn't it?), sure sounds like an ulcer or cancer to me.

I have the same problem, every morning i wake up, its very likely to get a stomach ache.

My body is very senstitve to temperautre changes. In the summer, when i wake up and leave the air conditioned bedroom to the bathroom(non-airconditioned) to take a piss, i will have a stomach ache right after about 10 mins. same thing in the winter, when i leave the heated bedroom to take a piss in the bathroom and come back, its very likely that i will get a stomach ache too.

But i never said he HAD it... i just asked him if it goes away after eating, and if it does, then it's either an ulcer or cancer.

Or Crohn's, functional dyspepsia, ZES, etc. There is no definite just because it goes away after eating.

Go see a doctor, he actually knows what he's talking about.</endthread>

acid reflux doesn't necessarily burn. go to a doctor, and let them run tests. doing that saved my life more than once.

Are you in College? If so you should be able to go to the school's doctor. If not, tell your mom your symptoms could be something very serious. If it goes untreated you never know what can happen. If it does happen to be something like cancer or an ulcer the sooner its treated the better...

My brother had stomach troubles for about 6 years, doctors couldn't find anything wrong with him that whole time. Basically his stomach would fill up with some type of liquid and he would eventually toss his cookies. It would happen maybe once a month. He went to all different types of doctors, ran a bunch of tests and they never found the cause. Until just before this last christmas, he had an episode were he was actually throwing up stuff the came from his intestines. They did another scan of his stomach and found that his guts were sideways and the the intestines were twisted thus causing a backup. They opened him up and yanked his guts out and stuck them back in the right way. He hasn't had an attack since.

As a doctor, I'd have to tell you that this is serous. You are going to die soon.
Lucky for you though, I'm not a doctor.
Go see one.
