Why does my monitor always refresh?

My monitor always refreshes when I right click a video or go into "advance" mode when going into video card settings.

It's really annoying, but anyways..

Any ideas why this happens? I've tried many different drivers but none to be stopping the problem.

What vid driver do you guys recommend?
 
Your video card driver stores different refresh rates for different resolutions. Games soemtimes try to force the refresh rate to 60 Hz.

If you are changing resolutions or starting a game, either could cause the monitor to need to sync to the new signal from the video card.

If your monitor has a built-in onscreen display of resolution and refresh rate, you could try using this to see if the signal is changing.
