Do you buy the meat from a supermarket? If you do, find a quality Deli in your area (if they have not all been closed down!!) I find that food usually lasts longer if it is not bought from a supermarket.

If not, as FishTaco suggested, freeze what you don't use immediately. I do that with ham and salami.

Solution-
1) Buy frozen 12-14 lb turkey.
2) Unfreeze in fridge for a day or 2, depending on the size.
3) Bake in 400 degr. until inside is 160 F.
4) Chop up with imitation Henckels or Wusthofs you bought at Amazon.
5) Eat some, feed some to dog.
6) Shrink wrap rest, put in freezer.
7) Slime will need goose-down to have a chance in there, problem solved.
8) Survive for 2 weeks on turkey leftovers.:D
