why does my 3dmark suck?

i know that 3dmark is a crappy telltale sign of ur computers speed but even so, i lowered everything to min a i still dont even hit 13000

That's not a bad score, besides play Quake3, or 2k3 and get your fps. That's a better test than 3dMark.

I'm not sure what you "lowered" to a min, but that score seems similar to other scores with that hardware.

According to this, a 9700 with P4 2.53 scores 13,400.

Your results are about 12,400 with a 2.4GHz CPU, so I'd assume a little higher with a 2.53 CPU.

Does a few hundred 3Dmarks really bother you?
