Why does Michelle Bachmann always talk about adhering to the Constitution?

She goes on and on about the Constitution, then she wipes her ass with it by voting for the PATRIOT Act.

She's not really any more of a Constitutionalist than Bernie Sanders, but at least he's honest.

And no, don't call me a hypocrite, as I'm not defending the Constitution here, I'm just pointing out the facts.

Believe me nobody here has any misconception about you supporting our country and its constitution.

As to Bachman, she's merely pandering to the clueless rubes. She knows most people are inattentive and vote based on slogans and sound bites, not actual performance.

She thinks the founders ended slavery so let's cut her some slack. It's not nice to make fun of the mentally handicapable. We love you Michelle! Yes we do! Who's a good Congressperson? You are! Yes you are! Woobeewoobeewoobee!

She thinks the Palin strategy of ignorant hypocrisy will get her some fat appearance checks too?

Isn't by supporting the Patriot Act she is taking the position of the smartest community organizer to ever hold the office of the Presidency?

Doubtful she holds a Kenyan socialist in such high regard. I think it more likely that perhaps she's just being mindful of the wishes of the smartest cheerleader/AWOLer to ever hold the office of the Presidency.

FOE says, in almost the ultimate act of Hypocrisy, "Isn't by supporting the Patriot Act she is taking the position of the smartest community organizer to ever hold the office of the Presidency?

The point being, FOE, that once the patriot act was signed into law, your individual civil rights became a much smaller protection for your legal rights. But then again, post the Patriot act, the weight of those protections become almost a featherweight to you to carry around. But sadly, FOE has failed to notice.

As for Michelle Backmann, she at best only has a partial and incomplete understanding of the constitution and its legal presidents. So all we get is a barely literate idiot citing her own larger ignorance.

One of the satire phrases from grade school I remember is "I come before you to stand behind you to tell you something I know nothing about." Here all these years later Michelle becomes that phrases living embodiment.

Making constitutional appeals to wingnuts is like tickling their willies- they immediately start thinking with their willies...

Which is the whole point of it, to get the audience reacting emotionally rather than rationally. If she literally wrapped herself in Old Glory, they'd go for that, too. One of the weirdest contradictions among anti-gubmint types is their professed patriotic fervor for the government that never was, the one that exists only in their heads.

I would really like to see a debate between Michelle and anyone who could qualify as a constitutional expert. As long as Michelle B was not allowed to shout down the expert and the debate was judged by debate rules, it would be the expert a bazzion to Michelle nothing.

I think it tragically funny when some of our elected leaders use the Constitution the same way they use toilet paper. I think Bachmann had rolls of TP custom made with the constitution printed on every segment.

I think she can't wait til the time comes when some irate citizen throws their shoes at her so she can feel as presidential as Bush did in his moment of glory.

In fact I think she can't wait for the day when she steps up to a podium to make a speech and notices that every single person in the room has got their shoes locked and cocked in their hands.

Classic Frank Luntz soundbite B.S.

Conservatives are kind of primative that way.
