i have to admit, it looked like most of those cops were in pretty damned good physical shape, unlike a ton of lardbutts we have around here. I don't know what it is about TX, but I've only seen a handful that weren't notably overweight. And Dallas doesn't have a crazy amount of fat people or anything.

Dallas actually does have a crazy amount of fat people (though less than Houston.) But I've noticed that all the cops around here (middle of nowhere Louisiana) are ENORMOUSLY overweight. It's funny because they're so fat that they're guns cant off their bodies at such crazy angles I can't imagine they'd be very quick on the draw, and it's not like they're going to fight\chase anyone being that fat...

I've also noticed (from watching COPS back in the day) that they accent the first syllable in the word "police". In doing so, it seems to make it harder for them to yell the word, and takes longer too.

It's ballsy to tackle a guy with a sword. An American cop would have opened fire and probably hit or killed 2 or 3 pedestrians on such a busy street. Seems like these guys handled it perfectly.

I have a lot of cops friends I go hunting with and besides not being able to shoot when hiking through pheasant fields (4-10' high corn stalks) they seem like they are about to have a coronary, breathing hard wheezing etc.

What do you expect? It's a job where you sit on your ass all day and get a fat union salary and "qualification" is 15 yards once a year.
