I have IIS enabled on WinXP, and after a while (sometimes 2+days, sometimes couple of hours) it will just not work, and if i try to restart it it will come up with "Unexpected error 0x8ffe2740" every time :(

Anyone know what this is and how to stop it?

Thanks in advance :)

Search using google. You will find lots of links with explanations. Remember, google is your friend :)

Apparently, this error means that port 80 is in use. You must have installed something that uses port 80 (Oracle -> Apache?). Search the web using google for the error number. You may also want to search the newsgroups as well.

Yep, port 80 is in use. I use it for my public TeAm AnandTech SetiQueue. However i have set up IIS from the start to use port 8080, so i don't know why it would be kicking up this error :(

Confused, IIS is a Beayatch so if I were you I would change my Q to some other port and let 'her' have 80.
Also be sure to keep on top of the security patches, cuz she's a HO too.
