My system: Soyo SY-6BA+100, PIII-800E, Creative Labs GF2, Intel 10/100 network card, Adaptec 2930 and a MX300.
Problem is that when I set the aperature above 16megs Q3A locks hard. Having it set to 16megs causes my performance to suffer not only under Q3A but also under 3DMark2000. My 3dmark score goes from 6700-7000 to 1900. I can run 3dmark all day with any aperature size set with no problems whatsoever. I figured that I must have something screwy in my registry, so I re-formatted the harddrive and reinstalled winME and installed a clean version of Q3A. Still it locks. I've tried moving the hardware acceleration slider around to see if that would help. It didn't. I've changed drivers from the latest beta to the 6.34. Still no help.
Neither the video card or the processor on my machine are overclocked.
Any ideas or help would appreciated.
edit- I also have 256 megs of Mushkin rev.2 pc133 memory.
