Why does God allow so many religions to misrepresent him? POLL: Do you believe God exists?

I believe that God exists simply because I don't think its logical to conclude that the Earth and it's inhabitants could have came about by means of evolution. Outside of that it's literally a tossup on what religion is right, fradulent, etc..

Do you believe in God?

Do you believe religion is the way to worship God?

Why does God even require worship?

If God really cares about worship why allow so many different religions to misrepresent him?

I don't really know if there's a higher being, but I don't believe in the Christian (or any other) God.

To me there are a lot more things in this world in favor that there isn't a God and very few in favor there is one.

I am god and god doesn't exist, so therefor I do not exist.
Its all a dream and you are there to entertain me !!!

Not to bash, but for the people who believe there is no God how did Earth and life on it come to exist?

How is that humans have such a high degree of intelligence as opposed to other animals? If you look around in nature or in the animal kingdom there are many different types of species who have similar levels of intelligence (dogs and cats or dolphins and chimps) why are there no other animals with the intelliegence of man?

How is that the Earth is postioned just the right distance away from the sun to prevent it from burning up or freezing? Why is Earth the only known planet out of possibly billions that appears to support life?

why don't you think its possible earth's inhabitants to come around from natural selection and evolution?

It's really hard to say either way. I think that I am leaning towards the side of a controlling force or repeating pattern governing everything though. There are just so many coincidences and weird similes in our universe to think otherwise.

Raised devout Catholic (my ma was Green), spent a few years questioning all religion, and now I'm back in the Catholic church. My Da (Orange) was never really happy with that...

I don't know how Earth came to exist. Maybe some fairy did wave his hand, and it appeared, and maybe not. I think we descended from apes, although there's quite a gap in consciousness there. Maybe one day an ape ate some psychedelic mushrooms and was like, "Whoa."

I believe there is a god. I don't, however, believe in religion on an organizational level.

I feel religion is the greatest reason for all the worlds ills. It gives the user of whatever religion he/she follows a convenient excuse for the atrocities he/she may commit.

Hypocrisy, thy name is religion! :disgust:

I just think there are to many factors in place to believe that they were all a coincidence. For example the relationship between plants and animals/humans, how both are essentially tied to each other. The changing of the seasons. The way water is naturally distributed through-out the planet. The day/night cycle, the rotation of the planet on its axis. The mixture of oxygen and hydrogen to support life. I don't think these are things that just happened to occur, in my opinion it looks more like the work of intelligence than chance.

By using your logic, how did God come to exist?

He exists, and yet does not exist. Logic cannot explain everything...

Good question. I was wondering how long it would take before that question would be asked. But still it seems to me that the Earth had some intelligent design.

Ordo ob kao.
(Order out of chaos)

The human mind has a way of classifying things in ways it's familiar with. Just because something appears a certain way doesn't make it so.

You don't think they expand one's consciousness?

btw... where in the Bible does it say that God is the only God? (old testament)

edit: I thought it says something like "you won't have any other gods before me"

Almighty Mareg, it is I, TheAudit, your greatest (and only) disciple.
Please make that annoying fat chick, two cubicles away from mine own, disappear. Her personal phone calls and her overall negativity are totally annoying. I don?t want her to get a plague or anything but maybe you could nudge her down the stairs?
Thanks!
