For me, it does, and switching has improved my Android Experience.
As far as I can tell it boils down to the following:

It's not the most obvious in this video, other times the hitching on Chrome is much more noticeable.
As far as I can tell it boils down to the following:
- no gaudy tab animations
- limited 'pop in' when rendering a page
- 'new tab' page is (more) lightweight / does not have 'fancy' render effects (like the Chrome's 'fade-in')
BUT MOST OF ALL
- the 'page loading bar' in Firefox 'fills', whereas in Chrome it '
