Why Does EVGA Only Use NVIDIA GPUs?

I wonder why EVGA is NEVER EVER a fan of AMD GPUs or Chipsets? They never make boards/video cards based on AMD's technology. What's up with that? Are they like monopoly to the Intel side?

Why does XFX no longer make Nvidia cards? Why does Sapphire, VisionTek, and PowerColor not make them? They never make boards/video cards based on Intel's or Nvidia's technology. What's up with that? Are they like monopoly to the AMD side?

I think companies that stick to one source only lose the potential to double the income they could be making.

you dont think they get special treatment from NV for their exclusivity? not to mention they make intel mobos among other things now

Besides, if they started making AMD cards Nv would probably cut them off like they did with XFX.

I don't claim 100% correct here, but the exclusiveness treat may just be 25% of what they could bring to the bank if they just open the door a little wider.

Asus has been doing both GPU companies for ages, they are fine. Not sure why Nvidia would do that. Is it considered "conflict of interest?"

Did nVidia cut XFX off, or did XFX willingly stop making nVidia GPUs?

EVGA has powered for nVidia for a long time and nVidia happy with that. So EVGA might able to get these chip cheaper than other brands (cuz nVidia happy) => EVGA's profits are better than powering for AMD atm. Besides, they got a whole knowledge system of nVidia product which have built for a very long time ago up to now (technology).
So, EVGAs are and will keeping on tracks with nVidia product. It's just my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong. ^^

I would assume loyalty and a good track record as well as incentives are what keep them with nVidia only. Input on design, early access to chips, discounted units, etc.

Yep, EVGA are nVidia fanboys. :p

I kid...I'm sure AMD would like to have EVGA on board but EVGA has a very good presence on the nV side. IIRC, AMD was approached by BFG and maybe another nV company during the 4XXX series days, but AMD said they turned a couple down because some of their other partners would not have liked it, considering they stuck with them during the 29XX and 38XX series days.

Special pricing/relationship I'm sure is why most vendor's stick with NV or AMD. Asus and Gigabyte are motherboard manufacturers first. They already have contractual agreements with AMD. I believe they are much larger due to their motherboard background than the folks who started out in GPU's.

Probably the same reason I only use NVIDIA cards..... because they are better.

ASUS is alot bigger than EVGA..and they make Boards, Monitors, etc... so they have more leverage...

Regardless... EVGA is doing well and their customer service is the best from my experience - why fix what isn't broken... if they find that adding AMD cards more profitable or add more to their bottom line and doesn't hinder their quality of service and quality of their products, I'm sure they looked into it...

I met a few of the EVGA employees at some shows, pretty cool people... you can chat with them all day about stuff..

Because they're an official NVIDIA partner and have an exclusivity agreement with NVIDIA. Similar to AMD and Sapphire.

From what I gather, anyway.

The same company owns both Sapphire and Zotac, so they make both NV and AMD cards. I know it doesn't change your point, but I think it's interesting that many people seem to think Sapphire is all-AMD, which it technically is, but its corporate sibling is all-NV.

OP, EVGA has an exclusivity agreement with NV and they are very longtime supporters of NV. I find it almost unimaginable for them to jump ship or even make cards for both, like XFX jumped ship to AMD. I just don't think NV would let that happen, and I'm not sure EVGA really wants to bail on NV, either.

EVGA is the worlds #1 maker of nvidia video cards. They focused on one company and are the only company that only makes nVidia cards.. they focus on that and deliver top notch quality parts etc, support .. gl

i always thought that evga was a shadow subsidiary of nvidia corp since the beginning.

werent they the ones who made the geforce branded cards exclusively found on best buy shelves?

I really wish that EVGA would do AMD cards. I want to buy them so badly.

However, I can't
A) give up the bitcoin mining income and
B) knowingly support a company (Nvidia) that resorts to dirty tactics to increase their sales (like working with game designers to make games work WORSE on AMD's drivers)
