It's really nice to have your product arrive in a nice, new clean USPS box rather than an old beat up one like it seems like things are always arriving in.

Whether you realize it or not customers really judge what is inside a package by the outside. If it arrived in an old beat up box that has seen a week of ground shipping it's just not as nice as a new clean airmail box ;)

Correction, they USED to give out free tape :(

Partially true in my case.
Over here in Seattle, ALL SHIPPING STORES CHARGE YOU FOR BOXES/SUPPLIES (except UPS and USPS for tape)...

My sister had to send back her zen micro for repair, no box, $18.29.

I have to buy my boxes now before I ship them because the prices are too high for my liking.

Priority Mail is fine for low-value items. The Flat-Rate boxes and envelopes are a good deal (even with the rate hikes).

But FedEx Express is my choice for high-dollar items and mission-critical material.

USPS is nice for priority mail and pretty fast for cheap stuff, but for very important items, I will UPS SonicMail or FedEx it. Usually I UPS for Ebay because tracking is a LOT easier.

Do you even call USPS' tracking system a tracking system? I mean by the time it updates, it's at your house already.... Lame.

Yeap. Do some price quotes for a 15 pound package and see who charges the most. For little stuff USPS has it down, everythings they're ungodly overpriced.
and again in english?

Try sending a 40 lb 3 cubic foot box by Priority Mail and let us know how good of a deal you got.

Or better yet, let us know how much it costs via Express Mail, which is the only service they offer with real tracking.

Kthxbye.

It's real simple: my life doesn't run well on their schedules. I get off work at 5:00, so if you close at 5:00, I can't get there in time. There's a FedEx store on my way home that's open until 7:00. It's an easy equation.

And BTW, FVCK USPS for its stupid hours! (thanks for allowing me to get this off my chest)
