Why does everyone hate Tom Cruise?

i kinda never really liked him after i heard reports that for mission impossible he didnt want any of the original actors to do cameos and he didnt even invite them to the premier...kinda trivial i know but i loved the original series...but his decision to blatantly diss them and totally disassociate himself with the original just kinda sucked
