Why does everyone hate the Klipsch GMX

Why does everyone hate these speakers? They aren't worth $300, but for $150 with 6 payments, being able to hook up your PC/Xbox/TV with one small unit is great! sigh..reviews don't mean much

the GMX is a crappy version of the promedias, made of cheap plastic, much lighter, no longer dual ported side firing subwoofer (replaced by a single driver unit), ugly, and represents kilpsch's new philosophy of making "value oriented" products 🙁

but simply you can't beat them for the price, especially with financing. People weren't reccomending them to me and my listening area is basically 8x2, so I feel they are pretty good speakers. Ed have you heard them? They sound pretty good-watched Bourne Identity last night night on DVD with Dolby Digital and they were pretty good. I won't say they're as good as my $6k+ polk system, but for what they are, damn I wish someone reccommended me them earlier/

i personally have a set of refurbished promedia 4.1 that I bought about 3 years ago for 130. and considering the new condition they came in (i didn't notice any scratches on them), I consider that to be one of the best purchases of my life. the other klipsch refurbs can be found on the following link:

Now don't get me wrong, anything with a klipsc label is fairly good for your money... however, I've always held the klipsch brand to a high degree of respect for the integrity they put into their designs, and the GMX line completely cheapened the brand. Not that they are low quality, but I just can't stand the look =P

Now a refurbished promedia 5.1 ultra for $250-- THAT's an awesome deal 😎

and that works out to about 40 bucks a month-check out the GMX's ed, they aren't as bad as everyone who has basically read reviews are. For a small space, they are perfect.
