Why does everyone hate The Godfather Part III?

I thought it had one of the best closures I've ever seen to a trilogy, although I was wondering wtf is the point to a couple of the scenes.

I actually don't think it's an awful movie, but it has to hold up against two of the greatest films ever made. It compares very poorly to the first two.

I liked it quite a bit. I thought Sofia was very attractive, plus it had Bridget Fonda who I always had a crush on. many powerful scenes, such as when Micheal confessed his sins.

but once you get past the looks, the acting just sucked. Plus the story was poor.

by an actress in a "major" film in history.
