William Hung does not represent the average Berkeley student . . . .
At least Cal is better than schools like . . . . . UCI!

my question is why must people call cal "bezerkeley"? the campus is just as liberal as any other college campus nowadays.

eh? no, most campuses have a healthy amount of liberalism culminating in fresh young minds eager to try out new perspectives and challenge their intellectual boundaries. Berkeley's brand of liberalism is more or less just stupid.

well of course an out of state school will still be more expensive than an in state, but the gap has never been closer. ASU estimates all costs (tuition, living, transportation, food, books, etc.) at about 20k a year for an out of state student. California is rapidly approaching that figure, especially with rent costs. My sister is at UCI right now... 8k tuition, at least 5-7k for housing, factor in books, parking permits, transportation... unless ASU is severely underestimating their costs, then yes, my out of state tuition will practically be the same as my sisters at UCIOriginally posted by: Amol

fvck berkeley, and fvck UC's. I'm out of this state. My out of state tuition will practically be the same as california's in state tuitions.
really? you think tuitions will be the same?
cause thats what my sister thought, and she's paying 4-5x as much as she would have at Cal or UCLA

UCI for hot asians that speak english. SF State for fobs that don'tOriginally posted by: Zebo
SC is better than the rest. I went to "state" school (calpolySLO) cause I did'nt want to ask my parents for the $ at the time. But if I had to do it over.... But overall UCI is number 1 for asain I think. My brother went there and said 60+%.
