Why does CompUSA have weird sales?!?!?

I'm talking about the length of their sales. This week had some good stuff. I was gonna go tomorrow to check out that Mad Dog sound card for $29 (because it used the same chipset as the M-Audio card). But I just found out the sale ended today! :|

Also, why do they have sales every other week? Why not every week like most stores (Best Buy, Circuit City). Why are they so weird?

Good question. The CompUSA by my house is having a Midnight Madness sale tomorrow. I'm not sure what it is all about.

They are doing a midnight madness sale so most of the other sales ended early. They do this a couple times a year. You can find a couple of good deals but you have to be one of the first people in line and be ready to fight crowds.

Go to the hot deals forum and there is a partial list of some of the items that are going to be on sale. The sale is this friday from 6PM to Midnight. They close at 5 Pm to restock the sale items.

i love compusa. i got my free xbox from there.

thats rather sad, you need a Fry's. BB & CrapUSA blow compared to Fry's

i used to like Fry's. now i hate it due to poor customer service, crowded stores, and lack of inventory.

heh, if your going to go to Frys expecting to learn something about a product, you might as well not go. Their lack of CS is obvious, the stores can be crowded on the weekends. I usually am very happy with the inventory, even on their sale item(the cheap hard dirves). Ill go in the next day, or a couple days later and they will still have a stack.

nah, not there to learn about products. returning an item takes forever. and i stood at the "help" line wanting to ask if there was more stock for a rice cooker in the back, but the salespeople seem to ignore me.

Yeah - Fry's is the bomb nowadays w/ their great deals that occur weekly or even multiple times during the week. You need to know what you're buying though so all the comp knowledge should come from you and not any from them. Returns have been pretty easy IMO.

Oh yeah I forgot to ask:

😕 CompUSA still exists??!? - I thought it transformed into CompUSSR a while ago. 😕

I love frys, I usually shop there on Friday's because of their huge Sales Ad in the LA Times. They always have something I want at a dirt cheap price after rebate. You have to do your research before buying stuff from Frys because hardly anyone knows about the products you ask about, they just guess or read the back of the box.

fvck Fry's and their long lines. sure they move pretty quick, but I HATE how I gotta stand looking at Beef Jerkey for 3 minutes, too tempting.

The frys in san marcos is good. They always have lots of stuff- and its nice and BIG BIG BIG so even crowds are that bad.

And i've never stood in line

i've gone on a saturday and on a tuesday and all was good both times

but the "grand opening" was just too darn busy
