Why does AIM have to do this?

Following AIM updating itself with the newest version (non Beta) this is what I get the first 5 or so times I attempt to launch it: http://www.sbyers.com/images/aim.jpg

After that, it runs fine until I close it and attempt to launch again. Rebooting or reinstalling has no effect.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling?

Or installing a previous version of AIM?

You could use Trillian, I suppose.
