<<Why does 50's music suck so bad?>>

Are you just an idiot or merely a moron?
If you were a retard you might have an excuse for such a stupid statement.

Roy Orbison, Elvis Presely and Buddy Holly to name 3 really rocked! Edited to add Carl Perkins to that list!
Them white guys were cool. My favorite Elvis period is when he was singing with the Jordanaires doing background. OTOH, doo wop is cool in its own way. You'd know if you ever sang tight harmony. When I'm singing in a good group that really I gets that blend, there's a head that's high better than anything you can imagine from booze or drugs. Same with playing in a good band. :)
Who put the bomp in the bomp-a-bomp-a-bomp?
I know who put the bomp in the bomp-a-bomp-a-bomp. I went to highschool with Jan and Dean and one of the later members of the Beach Boys. :D

That is a totally cool feeling. I love singing with people that I can harmonize well with. :D

You did? Crap, that's cool! Who, from the Beach Boys? I'm a Brian Wilson fan(mainly because I look like him.)...

BTW, 60's music was cooler than 50's. :D

I went to highschool with Bruce Johnston, who joined the Beach Boys after Dennis died. Bruce is the guy on the left in the pic at the top of this Beach Boys site

Jan's first hit, "Baby Talk" was with another partner, Arny. Strangely enough, they called themselves, "Jan and Arny." ;) The song started with Bomp-bomp-ba-ba-bomp-bomp-bomp... That was in 1967 or 68.

Jan, Arny, Dean and another guy sang a doo wop songs, and Bruce, I, and a drummer named Sandy Nelson, who later had a hit drum record, called "Teen Beat," along with other musicians, used to play in shows backing up them and other performers.

Agreed. :D After I dropped out of law school, my serious, continuous playing started with songs by The Beatles, Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, etc. Two weeks after the first CSNY album was released, my band was singing the "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" live on stage. That's where you really find out about getting high just singing harmonies.

I also tried skydiving... once... for the LAST time. I found out why people do it. It's for the rush. When you're live in front of an audience, you get no pitch correction, no punching in, and no second takes. You're just emotionally naked in front of everyone, and when you do it right, I can't begin to describe the high. If you blow it, you die, just like in skydiving, except that it's a spiritual death, and you live to tell about it and try again. :)

The 50's introduced a lot of music styles that many had never heard before. It was an epic decade for music.

You bumped a 14 year old thread to post that?
