Why does 3DMark2001SE tell me my bench is NOT default?

After I bench 3DMark2001SE, I get the message that it was not a default bench. I don't change anything before the bench, I just select run benchmark whenever it starts. Any ideas? Thanks, Kent

put the minimap detail level to best quality.
In advanced properties /D3d settings btw

10,701 is my best score, but that's with Best Performance selected. I guess that was the problem. I'll run it with Best Quality selected. Thanks, Kent

I changed the MipMap to Best Quailty and it still told me the bench was not a default bench. I didn't reboot, but I shouldn't have to. Correct? Any other ideas???

Q: Why does 3DMark2001 SE inform me that I haven't run a default benchmark, while I'm 100% sure I did?
A: Our bad! That small issue slipped thru our QA tests, and we are very sorry for that. You get that text eventhough you have benchmarked using the exact default settings.

Doesn't it say that all the time if you are using the "free" version???????
