Why do you hate LeBron?

Good-guy? Dude was the biggest child after the Heat beat them without LeBron, kicking balls and exercise bikes, at least LeBron never threw a temper-tantrum like that. Then when he finally does win the championship he's the FIRST GUY OFF THE FLOOR, I doubt he shook anybody's hand. Good-guy, right, only you and oilfield would say that.

And he's an avowed Nazi.

I don't even really follow basketball, but based on what I know...
Also: I'm pretty sure he walked off due to being a bit overwhelmed, but he walked back on later, did he not?

Either way, I'm not defending him, but he seems like a likeable guy overall. No one's fucking perfect. At least he doesn't go around spewing his mouth off about how he's gonna win every championship over the next decade, totally disrespecting the game in doing so.

I can't hold that against LeBron too much though, he was trying to pump up the crowd and got a little carried away. It sounded soooo dumb though, he should have stopped at "not 4" since he's only signed through 5 years there, but whatever, he's arrogant.

You'd be pissed too if you had just been a victim of the biggest fix in NBA finals history. Everyone knows that the 06 finals was the biggest sham ever.

There are 2 groups of LeBron haters.

First - the Cleveland fans - perhaps the worst sports fans in the country - they have a first place Indians baseball team - yet they are dead last in attendance. There is still a daily mention of LeBron in the local papers or sports-talk radio (which have the WORST hosts). What's funny - if "the decision" never happened, and LeBron had called Dan Gilbert - hell, had dinner with him, told him he appreciated everything Gilbert did for him, he loved the city, but it was time for him to move on - in other words, had he done everything the way people say he should have - Cleveland fans would still hate him for leaving. Given the choice

Live/work in Cleveland, or live/work in Miami - what would you choose?
Play with D.Wade/C.Bosh, or ...Andy V/A.Jamison?

He even took less money to sign with the Heat.

Cleveland sports fans just suck, period - and I live here. The Browns are an excuse for people here to get drunk on Sundays, the Indians get no fans to come unless they make world series appearances, the owners get vilified for not spending like the Yankees, and LeBron continues to be the biggest topic in town..it's sad really.

Nationally -

He's done everything you can ask for in a pro athlete - he's stayed out of any legal trouble, been extremely generous with his time and money to communities/charities, doesn't have a dozen kids with a dozen different women....

Sports Illustrated called him "the chosen one" when he was in HS. His mother got him the Hummer his Senior year - I suppose that all of you, as HS seniors, would have chosen not to drive it?

yes, he did not play well in that game 5 series against Boston as a member of the Cavs, and yes, he did not have strong 4th quarters in the Mavs series last year.

His failure in the 09 playoffs? He averaged 35/9/7, shooting 51% from the field - yet all we can talk about is how he wasn't clutch. He scored 25 consecutive points in a playoff game against a still very good Pistons team in 2007, in the 4th quarter. He's still one year younger than Jordan was when Jordan one his first title.

I'll agree, "The Decision" was poorly handled, and the "I'm taking my talents to S.Beach" part was far from the best choice of words. That said, he would have been blasted for going anywhere - had he gone to Chicago - the 'teaming up with another star' label would still have been used - same thing for Dallas, same thing for any other team with a star player.

If LeBron is guilty of anything, it's taking bad advice from his circle of friends, and having some of them manage/guide his off-court activities.

I got a Cleveland LeBron James official NBA jersey from JCPenny for 90% off -- it was normally $120.

I rock that thing! Causes a lot of conversation when I'm out in public 🙂

Being from Cleveland I take offense to those statements. As far as the Browns go, it is an excuse to get drunk on Sundays because honestly you have to be to watch them as bad as they have been.

Also, who cares about baseball it is not even a sport and they are all cheaters. I will not watch a single baseball game until Bonds' record gets wiped from the books.

he's black

people hate him bc he's black

they're racist

can't stand to see the black man struggling to get ahead in a white man's game

he's black

I like LeBron as an athlete. I'm indifferent to him as a person. I think all the hate is silly; EVERY athlete is a narcissist. You can't claim to be a fan of Jordan and then turn around and say you hate LeBron cause he's a douchebag; Jordan was a legendary douche as a player, he's been an egregious dick as an owner, but we give him a pass because he won a whole lot in the 90s. That's what sports is. You claim to be the best and then you take to the floor to try and prove it. I don't care what metric you use, LeBron has been the best player in the league over the last five years.

Yup, MVP right there.

No, not LeBron. That kraut who plays for the mavs.

You've been fooled. LeBron is actually the agent in charge of the 4th Reich's undertakings in the US. What better cover than a black man?

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I don't care how good of a basketball player LeBron is, he shouldn't have killed those people.

Indeed, it appears that I have been... bamboozled.

Wow, you think Bonds is the only cheater in the record books? Or is he just the only one you care about wiping from the record books?

I hate him because he has the physical talent to be better than even Jordan was, but his mentality holds him down. What a waste.

Also, he has an incredibly large ego, even by superstar athlete standards.

The Decision. and not the actual decision, i would much rather be in MIA too, just the way he handled it all was completely classless.

If anyone faults him for leaving Cleveland, they have either a) never been to Cleveland or b) lived in Cleveland since birth.
