*drinks more vodka for a quad core computer...

If you took all that metal case and fan stuff out you would get an awful lot more alcohol in your glass :)

Everclear is a alcohol that is roughly 95% pure alcohol. It glows under a black cold cathode light (black light). I have three black lights in my case, so it would glow pretty good.

You drink some of that and I'm sure you'd be glowing pretty good :D

It would be hard for me to rank in order of personal importance the two main reasons why I run Folding@Home for the TeAm, but regardless, the reasons are thus: the benefit of mankind, and the community.

In some way or another, save for the questionable DC projects (are there even any left in existence?) that involve cracking encryption for dubious reasons, all projects have worthy goals, which may directly or not so directly improve the quality of life for us or those who come after us. My choice of project is one of the ones that is concentrating on medical-related research; for various reasons, this means the most to me personally, and if I had to say at a second's notice which was more important of my two reasons, this would be the one.

Secondly, it's not hard to see that the community atmosphere here is the best of any tech forum that I've ever found online. Even though I wouldn't consider myself a stats junkie (I couldn't even tell you to the 1.0E5 place how many points I have right now), the forums are a daily part of my morning and evening net browsing fly-through routine, and every now and then - sadly not very often - I can even find enough time to stop in and say something.

<-- eagerly looking forward to this summer and the [DC] possibilities that lie in the old computer hardware that awaits restoration in my closet at home. :D

Edit: wow, I just noticed that I've passed the 5-year mark here at the forums; this implies that I'll be reaching the 5 year mark of DC before too long. Yikes, I'm getting old, as you can otherwise see from the beginnings of a thin spot.
