Why do women insist on lying about their weight ???

Because "men" (I use this term very loosely) insist on calling any who are over 100 lbs. fat. Granted, if a woman weighed more than me I'd feel uncomfortable, but I'd at least consider the possibility that I was too thin.

I haven't seen any men gossip about a woman's weight based purely on numbers. I have heard people talk about someone being fat, because of their fat.

yep, its a lot easier to look at someone to determine whether or not they are healthy, than to have them step on a scale and calculate a BMI

a good reason is prolly because most women tend to avoid the scale. so we like to just guess what we are. usually picking a number slightly higher then we'd deem we're comfortable with so we can still complain all the time we think we're fat without sounding too fat, but that is still lower than what we actually are.

depends. if by fat you mean 'super fat' then yes, i'd say you are right. it would be very rare to see an asian woman more than 200 lbs. Whereas with black and white women, this can unfortunately be a common thing.

but there are plenty of chubby asian women. maybe not fat to the point of where they look like they will die tomorrrow, but chubby and enough so that you wouldnt care to stare at them for too long.

After my recent trip to Korea, I find Nebor's comment to be true. Well, actually, that statement applies to both sexes. I saw a normal american pass by, and i felt embarassed for the country for which I am a citizen of. .

so spouting the truth is wrong? I can walk outside for a bit and find that the ratio of overweight people vs people who are fit is extremely disporpotionate. Yes, there are fit people who take pride, but we are a generlizing species who do nothing but generalize to fit outselves into "survival groups" if you will. It's the truth that other people call us american pigs. They say it because as a population, as a group, WE ARE.

Well honestly I think its partly due to the media and how they portray the perfect women and etc. etc. and too many girls fall into the need to feel like they to be the sexiest girl on the face of the planet.
