I think the point here is that yeah, 8GB is great but 4GB on Windows 7 is really good and with SSD you won't notice paging unless you're doing something excessive.

This isn't 1993 memory is cheap.

Right now I think it makes sense to just fill all slots on the board and you don't have to worry about it for the lifetime of that system.

Memory prices also tend to go up and down within a year which is another reason to buy when its low.

You don't want to be stuck in between a transitional phase for memory either like going from DDR2 to DDR3. There are quite a few people looking for DDR2 memory now which is very expensive.

I have bought 32gb in the last 3 days :D !
I pd the same for 16gb of DDR3-1600 as my first 128mb stick of SDram!

It would be nice if the prices went up now so I can sell all these "small" 2gb sticks :sneaky:.

The deals are sick...stop by Hot Deals for a look...
