Why do we keep losing STARCRAFT games, even though we've been playing for 8 years!?

I see you're still a jerk with no life. GJ. Some things never change.

Ouch. I don't know how that translates into having no life.

Just different hobbies and interests by culture. Koreans LOVE Starcraft. Americans don't play games as much as a nation. But they're sure as hell less artistic.

How is playing/watching games with friends any less of a life than playing/watching forums in America?

 oh man... jerk with no life because I posted a link to the forum where this belongs 😀

What does that say about you who took the time out of your very busy, important, and meaningful life to bitch about it?

You're right. I apologize. I'll rephrase then...

I see you're still a jerk. Some things never change...

Better?

Instead of RTS games, a lot of americans spend time playing FPS or MMORPG (WoW) or spend the time neffing on forums... Anyways, maybe you & your friend just aren't cut out for playing starcraft? When I first played I was immediately good (I played some Warcraft & Warcraft2 beforehand). While my friend who played a lot was consistently bad.

Yes, but not "best" yet. What makes me a jerk?

You're probly not:

1. Harvesting enough minerals
2. Using ALL of the minerals you've harvested
3. Upgrading units ASAP
4. Micro-manging well

Of course this is all on a normal map, I've never played any of the fastest map possible crap.

Posting a replay would help too.

My friend and I have been playing Starcraft for about 8 years. We're both college grads and hold professional degrees (i.e. we're not retarded), yet our win:loss ratio on battle.net is consistently 1:3. Can someone please explain? Thank you. Much appreciated.

Valsalva

Man. I know exactly what you mean.

How are you losing? How's your early, mid, and late game? Watch your replays and see where you did wrong, compare their minerals compare to your over time, and how efficiently you're using yours.

If you have that down, then it's up to "when to attack" and micro skills

You need to improve your micro and get some better strats. Watch some WCG matches and rip some good strats.

the koreans that have done nothing for the last 8 years but play starcraft will beat you every time

funny cause they're pretty much the only developing country to reach developed country status

ok, so the koreans that don't play starcraft all day know how to make a buck. so?
