I said "tend to" because it is not an absolute. The wealthy do have an advantage. I'm not denying that...

Germans, Japanese, Canadians, and Scandinavians are doing everything they can to immigrate to the U.S.? The Canadians might come here to shop, but they wouldn't dream of living under our government.

You are free to chose whatever career you want in those countries, and they don't confiscate your wealth in those countries like DCal430, dmcowned and some others on this forum would like to see. And ya, we get a lot of imigrants from those countries.

Look at this Gina Rinehart evil b*tch, she has 30 billion dollars, and new she wants to bring back slavery. Next look at Rupert Murdoch around 8 billion dollars, all made from lying to the people.

The top 1% hold close to 40% of the wealth in the developed world, just sickening. While we have countless starving in the world these people are living it up lavishly. They continue to make money by exploiting the poor class of people, going as far as using actual slave labor in impoverish nations to make their wealth.

Why doesn't the world do something about this. It is just sickening.

Well seeing as how we are talking about redistributing the wealth on a global level, everyone making more than $10,000/year, whip out your checkbooks.

Total Global GDP is $70 Trillion. Divide that amongst the 7 Billion people in the world and you have $10,000. Once you have redistributed all the assets of the large money makers, they no longer have the capital to make as much so the following year there will be less to distribute.

Still want to redistribute the wealth?

This is pretty much what is happening, except its all going to the top wealthiest instead to all of us who work to make the actual wealth.

So you would rather everyone make $10k/year?

I am not the one defending neo-liberal race to the bottom wages worldwide.

Conservatism is the "cheap labor party" you find so much pride in.

So care to clue us in on anything Conservatism has done for the working man? Ever?

Dmcowen's idiocy is in no way representative of the mainstream American left.

Communism does not work, and there is no such thing as free trade! Welcome to the real world.

The real question is why do you let so many free-loaders live off the government?

We have this crazy notion of private property.

We've also attempted to form a Union that does not have the authority to correct the problem as you see it. It does not take a government to fix it. All you have to do is organize, lead your own corporations of equality and boycott the evil 'rich' ones.

There is much the private sector can do to correct things without heading to the church of government.
There are some people so lazy, stupid and amoral that they literally cannot succeed, ever. The best they can ever hope for is someone or something powerful enough to take wealth from others and yet also stupid enough to gift it to them. 100% of these people vote Democrat.

Except in places like Chicago and Philadelphia where it's 125%.
