I use it because it makes me feel good knowing that I'm the smartest one here. As for the future, I expect more idiots to join the rands of AT.

We all know you have a g/f and you're trying to get mine too. :D

I started out using AnandTech for the hardware reviews. Eventually I discovered the forums and have been rather stuck in OT ever since. It's a great way to waste time.

Why do you use anandtech?

B/c I like there's lots of people here all the time unlike on other forums and I also like Fusetalk better than other forum software. And it's just another bad habit, of course.

And there's something more... I don't have a GF and it seems like a big problem to me. Here I read posts of people who say they're the same way and guess what - it makes me feel better.

Things I don't like:

1. They banned Pallander.
2. There is language filter and I like to curse and use obscene language. In my everyday speech it's like every other friggin word, man.

it helps to get through the day. MY life is crap, and I do nothing to make it better.

Thank god for prozac and ATOT!

For statements like that, this always comes to mind.

I use Anandtech because I invented it.

And because it's just useful - it's a way of asking hundreds or thousands of people a question, and getting their input on a variety of (mainly technical) subjects. And sometimes there's good jokes in the OT section. I mainly stick to the tech sections though; the Off Topic forum can suck up a lot of your time really fast. And you may find that the Off Topic forum might not always give you serious responses. :)
Then go to the Politics forum to see how people fight online.

actually never thought about it before.

One day I was surfing the net and stumbled upon this site. Then, all of a sudden, a black hole opened up and I was sucked in! have been here posting ever since! I find that it help pass the time at work, and I can find good deals in the forsale/trade forum. There are many other forums out there that I post questions to, but I always come back to anandtech.

LOL! You shouldn't use your gatech.edu account ID as a forum name :)

Stop being an honor roll student, there doesn't have to be a reason.

There is no reason why I use it, it hasn't affected me, and I don't really care if it changes.

Welcome to AT. :)

Entertainment, etc.

Although I do like reading all of the YACT as I've learned much about automobiles.

where else would i learn stuff like "all your base are belong to us," pwnage,
YAGT, etc.

lately, it's been an amusing, but massive time-waster.

i expect it to deteriorate over time (the reviews area already has).

Serious answer: I've been online since 1995 and I seriously have trouble finding sites with daily updated content other than news sites. Online communities are the only sites that will have daily content to read. Also, with communities like Anandtech Forums, the old threads are archieved, so it's a great place to do research on products. One last thing is, people are friendly if you are friendly to them.
