Why do things that seem like they should be so simple end up taking so long?

I spent half the night on this.

You can play with it by entering numbers between 0 and 255.

It doesn't seem like it should take so long to get a functional form that will update some colors for you. I hate writing in javascript. It's so non-standardized and difficult to debug.

Anyway, it works now.
