Why do the Clintons have to do this to people?

Quotes from Hillary Clinton:

"We're going to take away your luxuries for the common good."

"I favor the socialised systems they have in europe"

"I worked with Ted Kennedy in a failed attempt to nationalize health care"

What they spend their money on:

Super expensive houses

Super expensive trucks

5-10 million dollar weddings.

Ivy League education.

Super-expensive health care.
It's insulting to me, and I'm sure many others, that all of this socialized shit they propose and know will suck ass is, in their minds, good enough for me, but not them.

Why do they have to do this to people?

Why do they expect everyone else to do what they're not willing to do?

What is it that makes them so fucking special that they may smoke weed and spend their money how they want to, but We the People may not?

That's what boggles my mind. I don't know about others, but it sure does boggle my mind.

meh. they are politicans. they say what is good for the public but don't want to live within those standards.

though my opinion is they made t hat money so who gives a flying frigg on what they spend it on. though a 3-5 million wedding is a little insane..

It's hard to judge a person based on out of context quotes (unless that's just easier for you). But I don't see anything too contradictory in the idea that people who can't afford health care should be given some form of basic health care, while people who CAN afford better care (including people who support the basic health care concept) should be able to buy whatever they like. In fact, not MANDATING the same service for everyone is what separates welfare from socialism...I'm not sure why you're bitching about the Clintons embracing that idea...

The better question is : Why do we continually feed power away from the people who have to live by the rules that they are making?

Really kinda of weird thread title in saying, " Why do the Clintons have to do this to people?"

Short damn answer, they are politicians, that why!

As for me, I will take the Clintons over GWB or Nixon. But maybe that only my dimocrat delusion, please feel free to insert your own delusions and bias to the now toxic partisan mix.

But why do I suspect the real occasion of this thread is the wedding of Chelsie Clinton, the daughter of two Frankenstein monsters according to some.

When America has been this same scenario so many times in the last 50 years. As we have married off the white house daughters of LBJ, Nixon, Carter, GWB, and now Clinton. And none of those Presidential daughters have bred true to form and become political animals for future generations to selectively hate.

Maybe their politician mothers and fathers are fair game, but only a true hater blames the progeny for the sins of their parents.

The only recent rotten offspring of a recent President as been GWB, and Neil and Jeb have their flaws also.

Other than that, the larger record seems to be, being a hated politician is not hereditary.

Politicians, as a general rule, seek luxurious opulence in their own lives, and domineering control over the lives of others.

I don't know why the Clintons had to do the 8 years of peace and prosperity to us. I guess they are the kinds of people who would do that to others.

Yea, but he sullied the Oval Office and lied under oath.

He should of just said I can't remember like Reagan did when asked about arms sales.

Noone is perfect, but if that's on the top of the list of stuff to bash him for, he did pretty well.

As Cenk from TYT pointed out, it's because democrats are a bunch of lying fucks. The republicans straight up say that they don't give a shit about social programs or helping people, but the democrats say one thing then do the other. How was Obama elected? He said he was going to change things, bring in some liberal policies, maybe do some universal health care, maybe reform the banking system, maybe change some other stuff. Then he gets elected and none of that shit effectively happens. The people of the country are left of center (they voted for change), but politicians from both parties are right of center (nothing ever changes). The democrats say they want to take from the rich and give to the poor but they never make it happen.

8 years of peace and prosperity my ass. There was the effect of business cycle starting in 2000. You call that prosperity?

Even though it was never necessary to do so, Clinton engaged in more international conflicts than Bush did.

Bush 43 didn't even start the Iraq War. He continued it like Clinton did. Clinton bombed the hell out of that place his entire presidency for no good reason. You call that peace? You call the bombings he ordered in Kosovo peace? You call him trying to stop anarchy in Somalia peace?

Clinton was the biggest fucking hawk just like all the rest of the neocons and liberals.

Actually, our country is by-and-large right of center... especially compared to the rest of the world. You can look at polls going back forever and we are far more conservative than liberal. Yeah, there are places that are more left of center on *some* issues, but for the most part we are pretty conservative. Problem being that most politicians, left or right, that get voted in, rarely do much to represent the true will of the country... since they assume they have a "mandate" from the people, they do what *they* think is best.

The democrats say they want to take from the rich and give to the poor but they never make it happen.

Only if the rich are Republicans. They have no intent of taking from themselves.

The shame that William Clinton dared to engage in non-copulative sexual behavior in the same Oval Office where Sainted Ronald Reagan honorably sold weapons to Iranian extremists and gave the proceeds to drug-dealing Central American terrorists! Then to compound it by telling the wrong lie under oath...

Also, it's should have.

Sure, some of those were stupid, but how much money/lives have we spent on Clinton's stupid wars vs Bush's? It's not even on same order of magnitude. So we got massive prosperity and relative peace, vs two useless wars followed by economic collapse under Bush. And you are here complaining about what the Clinton's did to us.

In any form of Marxism, as in any large and complex advanced society, there has to be a ruling class. Rich people who express a desire for more socialism have every intention of being that ruling class and thus becoming even more rich and powerful. Thus the rich and powerful of any ideology, including capitalism, will favor the form that supports themselves.

Thou forgeteth the most salient feature of HillaryCare - go outside the approved government-controlled health care system and you and your doctor face criminal penalties, including prison. While I'm sure she didn't intend that she and her family stand in queues or be limited in care by what some bureaucrat decides is best for society, that's certainly what she intended for those of us who pay for our own health care and aren't rich or powerful.

Speaking of Chelsie Clinton, anyone notice that she has had the best possible revenge for all the ugly cracks - she's grown up pretty darned hot. Best wishes to her and her new hubby.

Anarchist420: You apparently don't understand that wanting everyone to have a minimum of something is not the same as wanting that to be the best that anyone can have.

Billary tried to give everyone a minimum level of health care. That is not the same as saying that if someone wants to then they can't pay more for better care.

Billary supported giving federal aid to students attending state colleges (and ivy league schools too, but try not to be confused by that). Wanting everyone to have the chance to attend some kind of college is not the same as promising to send your daughter to community college for no good reason.

It's the American way of life to be able to work to provide a better life to yourself and your children. The Clintons earned the money needed to send their daughter to a good college, so they did.

"Why do you hate America?"
