Crypts, lol, that was funny.

But this thread actually shows that most crips and bloods (the people who claim to be in the gangs) are really just soft core wannabees with nothing better to do.

But the OG's (thats slang for "original gansta's") set up the gangs as drug rings. Basically one gang would control all the drug activity in thier territory, thus making a good amount of money. But when the territory came too close, or even overlapped with territory of another gang, they had to protect thier turf, therefore violence ensued. Fortunately, these gansters, though brave, lacked even basic warfighting tactics, and they really just make more noise than actual kills. (these people have obviously not gotten into First person shooter's yet, though they should if they knew what was good for them)
