I was looking into my wallet today and I thought I had 10$, when really I only had 3$ because I had spent 4$ on condoms and 3$ on lube.
This is my story on how I cannot keep track of my money, whether or not I have 5$, 10$, or 1,000,000$
as previously mentioned, people say it five dollars.. so when your'e typing, you press the 5 first, then the $ cause that's the way yoru brain works...
also you need to pull that stick out of yoru butt.. it can't be good for your health
Oh...and it is not acceptable to actually use numbers under a hundred when writing in such a highly formal format such as a casual discussion board. Numbers should be spelled; "five dollars" instead 5 dollars.
Goodness knows a casual discussion board is every bit as formal and demanding of proper spelling, grammar, style, and usage as a doctoral dissertation. DOH!

sorry pal, the "formal" rule - via MLA format would be any number less than 10 is written out.
Well I wish that all members AT to post with perfect grammar. Otherwise, shame on you all.
I'd be relieved to see more members being able to spell "definitely," "weird," etc. "5$" doesn't bother me that much, as I see a lot of Quebecers do that.
no, it still is any number under 100 is spelled out isn't it? MLA? who cares? Go ask a professor if he/she sucks the MLA's choad to decide whether to follow the MLA.

Many professors I know prefer to stick with the system they are used to. And most of them don't care which system the student uses as long as it's used consistently according to one system.
