Why do some people have problems admitting they're wrong?

It's not that hard if there is an obvious right or wrong answer. but for some people to just come and say something, tell you you are wrong, and not have any proof with their response, its hard to just say fine i am wrong.. i don't often admit it because of the way ppl go about arguing over a matter. if there is something like hey look at this, see, you were wrong.. it's just plain retarded to say no i am not when the proof is right in your face. but if it's not, you can stand your ground. 🙂

If it's a strictly right/wrong answer I'll admit when I'm wrong.

Matters of opinion are another story entirely.
