Why do some people grow out their pinky nails so long?

The whole cocaine thing is true, or atleast was true a while back...

But I know for a fact that Indian men often grow out their pinky nail because its seen as a tool - as for what I don't know - scratching things? When I visited family in India they all had long pinky nails lol.

OP, what do you mean by "native"?

End thread, my ass. Being afraid to cut your skin doesn't explain why it's ONLY the pinkie nail or why they would let it grow THAT long.

I hate long nails of any kind, whether they're just the pinkie ones or all of them. Sayid on Lost had long nails and they always freaked me out.

Most of the stronger CNS stimulants have the unfortunate side effect of causing bruxism, also more commonly referred to as jaw clenching. From what I understand, pacifiers provide a much more comfortable biting surface than your teeth.

Candy kids(aka ravers), given the nature of the scene often take lots of ecstasy and the pacifier prevents all of the eventualities of frequent jaw clenching(worn down teeth and TMJ among other things.)
