I hated my old neighbor that mowed his lawn at 7am sunday morning. That was just a little too early. After 8 I wil not complain, I try and wait till 9.

For an ass.

In the summer I'll usually wait until 10-1030 before mowing the yard. Because I care how my actions may affect other people. Unlike most of ATOT apparently (no shock there).

Unless you're building a deck or something, your noisy activities probable won't take all day, so you can wait until a slightly more reasonable hour.

If I wait till noon to start, are you going to come by and bitch and moan at me because I am still running the circular saw at 10PM?

Even if I finish at 5, so what? Maybe its saturday and I would rather have my evening free to enjoy, instead of wasting the whole 'morning' waiting for my neighbors to get outta bed at 10am?

I am already generally spending time waiting anyways.

Heh-heh...the Mexicans who used to live next door would occasionally throw a loud, noisy party with loud "flea market" music until after midnight, lots of drinking and carrying on.
It was guaranteed that the next morning at 7 a.m., I would be out in the space between the houses, tuning and running my chainsaw, my 2-stroke mini-tiller, and my lawnmower...all at full-throttle, often, all three at the same time.
I never stopped until I was certain that they were ALL awake...

I'm sure. You da man.

Just woke up from a 30-minute long banging marathon from my neighbor's workers nailing his fence with a hammer that echoed through the neighborhood 9am on a Sunday--what an asshole.

I walked over to my neigbhor trying told him that some people would like to catch up with their sleep on a Sunday especially for those who work long hours. He looked like he didn't give a shit while I was telling him this-- what a motherfker.

I think whether you are asleep or not, no one like to hear banging hammers on a Sunday morning.

Ear plugs or a white noise generator, don't be a MF bothering the neighbor fixing his fence.

9 AM is an acceptable time for outside work that may be noisy.

Yeah I have to agree. I used to get woken up when my neighbor would be mowing his lawn at 10am on the weekend and yeah I'd be annoyed. However, it's not unreasonable to expect someone to be mowing their lawn or doing yard work at 9 or 10 on a weekend. Most people work normal hours and need to get shit done on the weekends. It's not his fault if you work shift. Buy some ear plugs.

Eh, 9 am is likely earlier than I'd start any outside work on a weekend, and I tend to be up by 5 am on weekdays and 7 or 8 am on weekends. That being said, I wouldn't really be upset at a neighbor banging around at that time (which seems to be the general consensus of the thread as well).

Then again, I'm likely a bit too considerate for my own good. I continue to do my best to even walk quietly in my apartment, despite my downstairs neighbor playing video games loudly enough for me to hear 8-10 hours/day, everyday. I wish he would actually go to class or something sometime.

your handle suits you well

LOL, I wouldn't give a shit either. 9am on a Sunday is a perfectly reasonable time to be working outside on the house and making noises, especially if the project is going to take all day.
