Why do some extremely overweight girls wear tanktops?

In the past, I've seen some extremely overweight girls wearing tanktops. I don't understand this type of behavior. Why show off your worst assets? It would be equivalent to me wearing a tight bikini brief when at the beach.

Seriously though, I remember back in HS, this huge girl wore a shirt that completely exposed her belly. She walked in the room and the teacher was speechless for like 2 minutes, we could not believe someone with that kind of gut would show it off :Q

I don't get this either.. they wear tube tops and stuff and let their stomachs hang out.. I mean, I'm "voluptuous" and I try to hide my body I'm not fat, but I'm not thin either

Oh man, there is a girl like that is one of my classes. She's not a bad looking girl, but she is a bit overweight, but dresses like she weighs 103 pounds. It's no crime to be overweight, hey I'm no underwear model, but damn, if you are, learn how to dress correctly! I don't go around wearing those skin tight muscle shirts like pretty boys with rock hard abs wear to clubs. So the overweight girls have no business wearing the tight tank tops.

LOL,One of the bennies of growing older is that you gain the ability to tell folks that if they don't like the view they don't have to look. I would imagine that heavyset people wear tank tops,shorts for the same reasons thin people do,it's too freaking warm to be bundled up in a long sleeved shirt .

Funny, we decry the Tailban and their requirement that women wear Burka's... but we require a substantial portion of our
own citzens to basically do the same, I mean lord forbid that our eyes should be offended by a less than perfect body !

I mean, come on. Someone who is extremely large fitting into a tanktop is like a Chevy Suburban trying to parallel park into a parking spot made for a Honda Civic.
